Weather in Malaga Spain
Because Malaga is located close to the Mediterranean Sea as well as being not far from the coast of North Africa you'll find that the weather in Malaga Spain is both pleasant and mild. because of this Malaga on average has about three hundred twenty hours of sunshine each year and the average temperature for this part of Spain is about twenty-two degrees Celsius. However the temperatures do increase during the months of July and August.
Because Malaga enjoys so much sunshine during the year the temperature of the sea in this area often sits at around eighteen degrees Celsius and rises to about twenty-four degrees Celsius during the month of August.
However during the autumn and winter months are not exceptionally cold either normally the temperatures will sit between sixteen and nineteen degrees Celsius at this time of year and this is because the mountain ranges close to Malaga protect it from the cold winds that blow from the north. Also the main rain fall happens in Malaga during the autumn and winter months also but over the last few years this has not been as much as is required.
When visiting Malaga at any time of the year you'll find that it enjoys a pleasant Mediterranean climate all year round and certainly for the majority of each year there are plenty of days of sunshine to be had. Also because it's situated on the coast and is sheltered by the mountainous terrain it ensures that the weather during the winter months is very mild compared to many northern parts of Spain where when the weather is very harsh can suffer with snow.
However it's important that during October and then again in April and May sporadic showers can occur and this in turn makes the weather in Malaga slightly unpredictable. Whenever visiting Malaga in the summer months it's important that you bring lots of clothes to wear that are cool because the temperatures during this period can get well up in to the 30's. However, as the humidity is low the heat for this part of Spain is comfy and not at all sticky or sultry. But it's advisable that you bring a lightweight jacket and some jumpers as the evenings can be a little bit cooler. So as you can see from above the weather in Malaga Spain doesn't really vary from month to month other than that the temperatures are lower during the winter.
